I get comment

The most distressing kind of hatemail (or hatecomment) you get are the kind that completely misrepresent and crap on what you believe.

You have a weird hatred towards women... I just noticed that. Um, in case you didn't know, women are treated more badly and exploited more than men. It's entirely our own faults, but you can't deny it. O_o Men are to blame as well, but I think it's up to us to stop it. -shrugs- Dunno why women having equal rights upset you.

I see you left a comment on my profile page. If there's a kind of human being I love, it's the kind who takes real care in his language he uses.

I don't know why the idea of women having equal rights upsets me so. That's probably why I make so many videos saying this exact thing (you do have the links to those videos don't you? It's just that I forget my own stuff sometimes - last I looked I had a bunch of videos criticising a particular political movement called feminism). It's also an idea completely in sync with my other views..

You see; as a libertarian who want a small state, and who opposes state sanctioned differences on people such as the castes inherent in monarchies or fiefdoms. I really want the government to arbitrarily give one group of people rights over another. I also say this all the time in my videos. The ones you might have seen where I state that I support equality of opportunity – not outcome were by my evil doppelganger SeyeSugra.

Yours sincerely,
Argus

This individual probably read your response and interpreted your sarcasm as sincerity. While unfortunate, I have learned that to simply assume others are capable of discerning the difference between various modes of expression is fraught with danger.

*sigh* If only a healthy respect for critical thinking were more prevalent, we wouldn't be besieged with comments such as these...

It's a risk. However, I long ago discarded trying to reason with such people a sound mocking can sometimes make the point much better and if they don't get it, then they weren't worth bothering in the first place.

The umbrella in particular is remembered as the symbol of the nineteenth century’s disturbing obsession with individualism. In Bellamy’s utopia, umbrellas have been replaced with retractable canopies so that everyone is protected from the rain equally.
“In the nineteenth century,” explains a character, “when it rained, the people of Boston put up three hundred thousand umbrellas over as many heads, and in the twentieth century they put up one umbrella over all the heads.”
